Let Your Faith Arise Like The Red Sea

Unlike previous (many) years, my family accelerated in 2026 in a whirlwind of many things. Almost immediately after I published my previous post about this acceleration, a door slammed shut in my face, and another matter hit with a huge delay. Both seemingly brought a halt to the acceleration.

But I couldn’t let go of the shut door in my spirit, and so I lifted it in prayer, and that’s when I kept getting the word of Moses parting the Red Sea on many occasions. And the one with a huge delay, I was reminded of the twelve spies and that I had been believing the report of the ten spies about the giants, but not the faith report of Caleb and Joshua.

But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.” And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out,…

So all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried, and the people wept that night. And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them, “If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness!

But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had spied out the land, tore their clothes; and they spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying: “The land we passed through to spy out is an exceedingly good land. If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, ‘a land which flows with milk and honey.’

Numbers 13:31-32a; 14:1-2, 6-8 (NKJV)

I thought I was a person with a relatively high measure of faith until these two tests came in. For the whole of January, I was struggling big time between faith and fear, and feebly extinguishing fiery darts of unbelief with His grace. For one, I didn’t think God would part the Red Sea for me and make a way where there seems to be no way. That’s partly because I believe it’s probably my own desire getting the better of me.

The battle was intense, and I wondered why the acceleration was met with such resistance instead of a smooth-sailing zoom. Then I had a revelation about the drag that comes with acceleration. According to NASA, “Drag is the aerodynamic force that opposes an aircraft’s motion through the air. If there is no motion, there is no drag. We can think of drag as aerodynamic friction.” That’s why sports cars are sleek in their design to reduce drag on their high speed. Faith can similarly help shape us into such a sleek design to reduce resistance.

I guess when God is propelling us into destinies, the enemy is also working extra hard to oppose that.

And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”

And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea. And I indeed will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them. So I will gain honor over Pharaoh and over all his army, his chariots, and his horsemen. Then the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I have gained honor for Myself over Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.”

And the Angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud went from before them and stood behind them. 20 So it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel. Thus it was a cloud and darkness to the one, and it gave light by night to the other, so that the one did not come near the other all that night.

Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided. So the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left. And the Egyptians pursued and went after them into the midst of the sea, all Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.

Exodus 14:13-23 (NKJV)

What’s your red sea in 2026?

Let your faith arise like the red sea, above the storms of fear and impossibilities.
